reading slump

when i got my kindle on my birthday a couple months ago i thought i was free of the reading slump curse. i put in some crazy hours on that thing the first month and finished the same amount of books in june than i had from january to may.

then came july.

the second the weather starts getting hot, i lose all sense of reality. i can barely even see straight. yes, i have air conditioning in my house, but just knowing the external temperature is above 80℉ makes me unable to comprehend sentences on paper or on kindle screens.

so here is the Reading Slump.

just yesterday i found my dream edition of Wuthering Heights at my local thrift store (for 50¢!!!!!) so i'm hoping the rush of finding one of my wish-list books will inspire me to get back in the swing of things.

i hate you, summer!!!!!
